Ukrainian Early Maturing

Sunflower variety "Ukrainian Early Maturing" is an ultra-early hybrid with a short vegetation period of 85 to 90 days. Plants reach a height of 100–120 cm, have a convex flower head diameter of about 24 cm with an upright inclination. This variety is characterized by high yield — the average yield over test years ranges from 20 to 30 c/ha, with potential up to 40 c/ha, making it attractive for intensive cultivation and intercropping after winter crops across all of Ukraine.

One of the key features of "Ukrainian Early Maturing" is high resistance to stress factors and diseases. Plants exhibit excellent drought tolerance, high resistance to lodging and shattering. The hybrid demonstrates genetic resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew, fusarium, phomopsis, rust, gray and white rot, as well as resistance to sunflower moth and the parasite weevil. These qualities ensure reliable and stable yields even under challenging climatic conditions.

Sunflower seeds have an oval-shaped, elongated form and black color, with oil content around 52% and huskiness of 22%. Due to their high oil content and seed quality, this variety is suitable for oil production as well as for beekeeping as a nectar source. The low stem height contributes to better resistance to lodging, and the ability to produce good yields on various soil types makes "Ukrainian Early Maturing" a versatile and profitable choice for both commercial and personal cultivation.
