Pharaoh AM is the latest Ukrainian sunflower hybrid developed by breeders of LLC 'AF NPP AGROMIR' and registered in the State Register of Varieties of Ukraine in 2022. It belongs to early-maturing hybrids with a vegetative period of about 110 days and is intended for intensive cultivation. The hybrid is characterized by high productivity and resistance to various stress factors, making it especially valuable for farmers working in the Forest-Steppe and Steppe regions of Ukraine.
One of the key features of Pharaoh AM is its resistance to herbicides containing tribenuron-methyl, allowing the use of the SUMO (Express) technology with the preparation Granstar. This ensures effective weed control without harming the crop. Additionally, the hybrid demonstrates high resistance to diseases such as downy mildew (race 730), fusarium, rust, gray and white rot, as well as tolerance to various races of the parasitic plant dodder (A-G+).
Pharaoh AM is distinguished by its drought tolerance and resistance to lodging and shattering, which contributes to stable yield formation even under adverse weather conditions. The potential yield of the hybrid ranges from 3.7 to 4.6 tons per hectare, with oil content of 52.0-53.1% and seed purity of 22-23%. Plant height reaches 165-170 cm, and the 1000-seed weight varies within 67-70 grams. All these characteristics make Pharaoh AM an attractive choice for farmers seeking high-quality sunflower yields.
