Sunflower F4413VO

The Technical Edge of F4413VO

The F4413VO hybrid, developed by AF Flora, represents a specialized approach to sunflower cultivation, focusing on inherent genetic defense systems. This variety produces medium-sized, black-colored seeds that have been vetted for performance in diverse Ukrainian soil conditions.

Phytosanitary Defense Mechanisms

The core of F4413VO's agronomic value lies in its engineered resistance to common fungal pathogens that threaten yield security during the growing cycle:

• Downy Mildew (Peronospora): The hybrid features a robust defense profile designed to prevent the systemic infection of the root zone, ensuring stand density remains consistent throughout the season.
• Powdery Mildew: The crop is bred to maintain leaf integrity under high disease pressure, which is essential for sustaining photosynthesis and maximizing oil content accumulation until harvest.

From a practical application perspective, the physical characteristics of the seed—namely its stable, medium size—simplify the calibration of precision planters. This leads to uniform emergence, which is the cornerstone of effective crop management. By integrating resistance traits directly into the hybrid, farmers can reduce reliance on intensive fungicide applications, thereby streamlining operational costs and enhancing the efficiency of the overall production chain.
