The hybrid sunflower Forward is a medium-early representative of Ukrainian selection, registered in Ukraine in 2008. It demonstrates stable yield across various regions of the country, with potential up to 4.4 t/ha, equivalent to 44 centners per hectare. The vegetation period is approximately 108-110 days, and plant height reaches 175-180 cm. This hybrid is distinguished by high oil content in seeds — around 49-50%, with 1000-seed mass ranging from 61 to 86 grams. Seeds have a dark-striped type and flat flower head diameter of 18-24 cm, with shell content of 21-22% and husk resistance of 99.7%. Forward possesses genetically determined high resistance to lodging, shattering, false powdery mildew, rot, and rust, ensuring its reliability under adverse conditions. The hybrid is tolerant to overcrowding and drought, making it suitable for cultivation in the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe zones of Ukraine. Resistance to major infection races (A, B, C, D, E) and high resistance to brittleness and lodging further enhance its adaptability and crop quality. Forward hybrid seed undergoes thorough preparation: seeds are coated and treated with the fungicide MaximXL and growth stimulant Kelpak, which improves germination and plant health. Seed preparation is performed using modern equipment from the German company Petkus, ensuring high product quality. Packaging is done in four-layer paper bags, ensuring seed preservation during transportation and storage. Due to its characteristics and resistance, the hybrid Forward is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high and stable sunflower yields.
