SY Sanbala

The SY Sanbala hybrid sunflower is a mid-season linoleic variety with a vegetation period of 116 to 125 days. It is distinguished by high resistance to downy mildew, including new strains, making it one of the leaders in this trait among classical hybrids. Its high drought tolerance and adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions allow successful cultivation in the Central and Northern Steppes, Forest-Steppe, and Polissia regions of Ukraine. Plants reach a height of 140–170 cm and possess high initial growth vigor, contributing to stable and high yields.

SY Sanbala is characterized by high yield potential, reaching up to 5 tons per hectare, and oil content of approximately 52%, ensuring good oil quality. The hybrid is resistant to major sunflower diseases, including fusarium, gray mold, basket and stem sclerotinia, as well as five strains of downy mildew. Seeds are black and treated with the fungicide and insecticide Cruiser, providing additional protection for seed material.

This hybrid is recommended for cultivation under moderate to insufficiently moist conditions with a low infection background of fusarium. It is resistant to herbicides of the imidazolinone class, facilitating crop management and enhancing weed control efficiency. Due to its adaptability to various soil preparation methods and high yield stability, SY Sanbala is an optimal choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality and consistent sunflower yields.
