Hysun 228 sunflower is a linoleic hybrid with broad adaptability to various growing conditions, intended for conventional cultivation. Its vegetative period is 110-115 days, allowing successful cultivation in areas such as steppes, forest-steppes, and meadows. Plants reach a height of 157-167 cm, and seeds are black. The recommended sowing rate varies depending on soil moisture: from 45 to 60 thousand seeds per hectare.

The hybrid has a high oil content, exceeding 52%, making it attractive for oil production. The yield of Hysun 228 reaches 30.2 centners per hectare, indicating its stable productivity. Moreover, the sunflower exhibits moderately intensive adaptability and shows good drought resistance, early sowing suitability, and tolerance to dense planting.
