Sunflower Skarb

A product of Ukrainian expertise

The «Skarb» sunflower hybrid represents the research achievements of the Plant Breeding and Genetics Institute (National Center for Seed Science and Cultivar Investigation) in Odesa. Designed to thrive within the unique soil and climatic conditions of Ukraine, this simple hybrid serves as a reliable solution for farmers seeking consistent crop performance.

Plant Architecture and Grain Quality

With a plant height of 190–200 cm, «Skarb» offers a balanced profile that facilitates standard harvesting procedures while maintaining resistance to lodging. The seeds are characterized by an elongated shape and average size, ensuring efficient handling during planting and processing. These structural traits reflect the breeding priorities of the Institute: focus on uniformity and production ease.

Market Role and Performance

As a domestic product, «Skarb» occupies a significant position among growers who value proven genetics over experimental high-priced alternatives. Its market reputation is built upon the institute's long-standing credibility in seed production and variety testing. The hybrid is engineered for stability, performing reliably across diverse agricultural zones where adherence to good farming practices allows the crop to fulfill its yield potential. Choosing this hybrid is an investment in locally adapted genetics with the professional support of a national scientific institution.
