Sunflower Suchasnik

Stable Yields and High Oil Content

The «Suchasnyk» sunflower variety, developed by the Plant Breeding and Genetics Institute, is designed for farmers who prioritize both high oil content and efficient crop management. As a product of Ukrainian national breeding, it is engineered to handle specific phytosanitary challenges, providing a predictable output in diverse environmental conditions.

Disease Resistance and Field Performance

The primary advantage of choosing «Suchasnyk» is its inherent resistance to downy mildew (peronospora) and powdery mildew. In practice, this trait allows producers to reduce the frequency of fungicide applications, significantly lowering the total input costs per hectare. This is an essential tactical benefit for operations aiming for higher margins in intensive farming systems.

Technical Specifications for Production

• Plant height ranges between 170–180 cm, ensuring uniform development and ease of mechanical harvesting.
• High oil content of 50–55% ensures a premium price point when selling to crushing plants.
• Proven performance under Ukrainian climate conditions, guaranteeing results that meet industry expectations.

Agronomists choose this variety for its uniform stand, which simplifies harvest logistics and reduces grain loss during machinery operations. «Suchasnyk» is a reliable choice for commercial sunflower production, combining balanced growth characteristics with a robust defense system that mitigates common agronomic risks.
