Sunflower AT 4718 is a high-yielding hybrid developed using modern genetic technologies, including cytoplasmic male sterility (CMS) system and interline hybridization. This hybrid is characterized by high drought tolerance, resistance to diseases such as downy mildew and false powdery mildew, as well as tolerance to imidazolinone herbicide group (Clearfield®). Plant height reaches 170-180 cm, promoting good growth and yield formation. The vegetative period is approximately 103 days, allowing the hybrid to successfully grow under various climatic conditions, including Forest-steppe and Steppe of Ukraine.
AT 4718 features high yield, averaging 50-58 ц/га, with potential up to 62 ц/га under optimal conditions. Seed oil content varies from 50% to 54%, making this hybrid especially attractive for producing high-quality sunflower oil. Additionally, the hybrid is resistant to lodging and shattering, reducing harvest losses. The cultivation technology is conventional, with the possibility of using Clearfield® system, ensuring effective weed control and increased overall crop productivity.
Sunflower AT 4718 has low requirements for agrofond and high stress tolerance, making it a universal and reliable choice for farmers. The package contains 150 thousand seeds, convenient for large-scale sowing. Due to its characteristics, this hybrid is widely used for obtaining high-quality oil and ensures stable yields even under challenging climatic conditions.
