Sunflower Lubash

Working with the Lyubash Hybrid

When selecting sunflower seeds for intensive farming, relying on material from NVP Agro-Rytm is primarily a calculation for a predictable result. The Lyubash hybrid has established itself as a reliable "workhorse" that is forgiving when it comes to minor delays in field management.

Technology and Field Characteristics

The first thing agronomists notice is how well this hybrid responds to the Clearfield (Euro-Lightning) system. Being able to effectively control weeds and broomrape is 80% of the success. Since weeds do not steal nutrients, the plant forms a healthy, full head.

• Plant Development: The stem height ranges from 160 to 180 cm. This is the optimal height: the sunflower does not lodge during high winds, and harvesting is efficient with minimal seed loss.
• Oil Content: The 50-55% oil content is a serious advantage for grain intake centers. The seeds are well-filled, ensuring high oil yields, which directly affects the final market price.
• Biological Resistance: Downy mildew and powdery mildew are common headaches. Lyubash stands its ground without requiring extra fungicide applications during critical growth stages, helping to cut down on chemical costs.

Harvesting Nuances

The medium-sized head simplifies the settings for the combine harvester. The seeds thresh cleanly without cracking, provided that the drum speed is set to standard parameters. Owners note that the hybrid has good uniformity, which reduces the time required for calibration and processing after drying.

In short: it is a choice for those who prioritize clean fields and high oil content while keeping crop protection costs under control.
