Sunflower SR 98 JMK

SR 98 JMK is a sunflower hybrid designed for conventional cultivation methods and characterized by high productivity. It belongs to the mid-late maturing varieties with a vegetation period of approximately 115-118 days. Plants reach medium to high height, exhibit branching, and have a convex flower head with a slightly inclined position. Leaves are green, and ray florets have an orange-yellow coloration. Seeds are distinguished by prominent marginal and internal stripes, with a thousand-seed mass of 55-65 grams. The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to various diseases, including false powdery mildew (RM9), verticillium, phomopsis, and sclerotinia affecting both heads and stems. It also shows resistance to races of downy mildew from A to E. Oil content in seeds ranges from 48 to 54%, making this variety attractive to producers seeking high-quality raw material with a high oil yield. SR 98 JMK is recommended for cultivation in various climatic zones, including Polesie, Forest Steppe, and Northern Steppe. For optimal yield, recommended sowing rates are: 50-55 thousand seeds per hectare under insufficient moisture, and 60-65 thousand under adequate moisture. Seed packaging contains 150,000 seeds, which is convenient for farmers. Thanks to its innovative genetics and stable yield under stress conditions, this hybrid is a reliable choice for producers aiming for high productivity and product quality.
