Sunflower P64LL129

The P64LL129 sunflower hybrid is a mid-season traditional linoleic hybrid with a vegetation period of about 114 days. Developed by Pioneer®, it features high yield potential, confirmed by record yields of up to 52 centners per hectare with high oil content in seeds. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in various climatic zones, including steppe, central, and eastern forest-steppe regions, western forest-steppe areas, and Polissia, due to its high adaptability to growing conditions. P64LL129 exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including verticillium, stem and basket rot, fomopsis, and false powdery mildew. Special attention is given to resistance to sunflower moth; the hybrid withstands up to seven races of the pest (A-G), including race G of the Turkish subtype, making it an effective choice for regions with widespread infestation by this pest. The hybrid is also tolerant to lodging and insect pests, which helps maintain yield and improve quality. One of the key features of P64LL129 is its high drought resistance, rated at 9 points, enabling successful cultivation in hot and dry climates. The hybrid demonstrates effective control of leaf drop and resistance to lodging, which is especially important in intensive cultivation. For protection against common diseases, fungicides are recommended, particularly in regions at risk of rust development. All these characteristics make P64LL129 a reliable and productive choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality sunflower yield.
