Sunflower Sonagro

Field Performance and Weed Control

For farm managers and operators, the "Sonagro" hybrid from the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute represents a balanced approach to sunflower cultivation. It is engineered for those who prioritize clean fields and high-efficiency harvesting.

Operational Highlights

• Weed Management: Fully compatible with the "Euro-Lightning" herbicide system. This allows operators to perform broad-spectrum weed control in a single pass, significantly reducing the labor required for manual or mechanical weeding.
• Harvesting and Maintenance: With a growing season of 110–120 days, the hybrid shows consistent maturation across the field. This uniformity makes combine settings easier to manage, minimizing seed loss and ensuring a cleaner sample in the grain tank.
• Yield Potential: An oil content of 50–55% ensures that your crop hits the high-value market requirements. The hybrid's structural integrity means it resists lodging, making the harvesting process straightforward even in adverse weather.

Operating a field of "Sonagro" requires minimal intervention compared to sensitive varieties. Its resistance to key diseases reduces the frequency of fungicide applications, simplifying chemical supply logistics throughout the season. For an operator, this means less time spent on troubleshooting and more focus on optimizing yield metrics. It is a reliable, high-performance tool that fits perfectly into an intensive, herbicide-tolerant farming program.
