NS H 6012 is a mid-maturing sunflower hybrid intended for cultivation using the Express technology with a linoleic direction of use. The plant reaches a height of 170-185 cm, has a sturdy stem that is stable against lodging, and lacks branching. The leaves are light green, of medium size with slight blistering, and the head is small, half-turned downwards with a convex seed side. The flowers are yellow, ligule oval, tubular without anthocyanin discoloration of the style. The seeds are of medium size, narrow-oval shape with a black main coloration and grey stripes. The hybrid is distinguished by high drought resistance and a powerful, branched root system capable of utilizing soil moisture to a depth of 2.5 meters. It is genetically resistant to a wide range of diseases, including all races of rust (A-E, F, G), powdery mildew, rust, sunflower moth, and also possesses high tolerance to Phoma, Phomopsis, powdery and white rot. In addition, NS H 6012 is tolerant to herbicides of the tribenuron-methyl group, which facilitates crop care. The potential yield of the hybrid reaches 55 c/ha, while the average yield in various regions is about 24.9 c/ha, and the oil content in seeds varies from 49 to 52%, ensuring a high oil collection up to 10.5 c/ha. The recommended seeding density is 55,000-60,000 plants per hectare. High nectar and pollen production makes the hybrid attractive for pollinating insects, which contributes to a high degree of fertilization and stable crop formation.
