NS H 6008 sunflower is a mid-late hybrid of linoleic direction, characterized by high yield and resistance to various stress factors. The plant reaches a height of 160-180 cm, possesses a powerful and branched root system capable of extracting moisture from a depth of up to 2.5 meters. Seeds have a mass of 1000 grains within the range of 60-70 g, with an average seed size that is narrowly ovoid, with a black base color and grey stripes. Flowers are yellow, ligulate oval, tubular without anthocyanin discoloration of the stigmas, the head is of medium size, turned downwards, with a flat seed side shape. The hybrid is distinguished by high oil content — 50-52%, which makes it attractive for oil production. The yield potential is about 50 c/ha, while the plant demonstrates high stress resistance and quick adaptation to cultivation conditions. NS H 6008 is tolerant to herbicides of the tribenuron-methyl group, which facilitates weed control without harm to the crop. The recommended sowing rate is 55,000–60,000 plants per hectare. Special attention is deserved by the high resistance of the hybrid to diseases and pests. NS H 6008 has immunity to phoma, downy and powdery mildew, rust, sunflower moth, as well as is tolerant to Striga species A, B, C, D, and E. The plant does not branch, leaves are small, green, without blistering, with strong hairiness in the upper part of the stem. The hybrid is suitable for ExpressSun and SUMO cultivation technologies, which ensures effective growing and high quality of the crop.
