Maxtor F1 Sunflower is a high-yielding hybrid characterized by drought, disease, and pest resistance. This three-line early-maturing hybrid, developed by VNILS, is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including fields in Ukraine. The vegetation period lasts 105-108 days, and the time from germination to flowering is approximately 67 days. Plants reach a height of 170-180 cm and have a semi-tilted flower head with a diameter of 22-24 cm.
The Maxtor F1 hybrid features high oil content in seeds — 49-51% — making it attractive for oilseed sunflower production. Seed moisture content ranges from 20-23%, and the yield potential reaches 52 centners per hectare, with an average yield over test years of about 35 centners per hectare. Plants exhibit high resistance to lodging and shattering, as well as resistance to sunflower moth and other stress factors.
Maxtor F1 seeds ensure a stable and high-quality yield due to high seed quality standards and treatment with growth stimulators and fungicides. The hybrid is suitable for both large and small farms, enabling efficient sunflower cultivation with high oil yield and resistance to adverse conditions.
