MANHATTAN CLP — a high-yielding sunflower hybrid developed by Syngenta for oil production. It belongs to the medium-early maturity group with a vegetation period of 116–125 days and features a medium-height plant type ranging from 162 to 196 cm. The hybrid has a strongly convex flower head with a downward tilt, which facilitates efficient harvest. The thousand seed mass is approximately 55 grams, and oil content reaches 50%, ensuring high yield during processing.
The MANHATTAN CLP hybrid is resistant to major sunflower diseases, including gray mold, downy mildew, rust, sclerotinia, and fusarium, with resistance ratings of 8–9 points. It also demonstrates high resistance to lodging and shattering, reducing yield losses during harvest. Special attention has been paid to resistance to the pest *A-G+* (A-G+), making this hybrid a reliable choice for regions facing issues with this pest. The Clearfield Plus technology enables effective weed control using the herbicide Euro-Lightning Plus.
Recommended cultivation zones for MANHATTAN CLP include forest-steppe and steppe regions, particularly Ukraine, as well as the Central Chernozem, North Caucasus, Volga, Lower Volga, Ural, and West Siberian regions of Russia. The hybrid responds well to improved agronomy and adherence to recommended seeding rates, ensuring stable and high yields. Optimal preceding crops for planting are potato, corn, and winter wheat. The package contains 150,000 seeds, which should be stored at a humidity of 5–6% and a temperature not exceeding 10℃.
