Sunflower L 9 is a mid-early hybrid optimized for the Express herbicide technology, ensuring high effectiveness in weed control. This hybrid is distinguished by its high yield and stable oil content, reaching 48%, making it an attractive choice for oil producers. The plant height is about 170 cm, and a flat head with a diameter of 16.5 cm facilitates harvest collection. The mass of 1000 seeds is 72 grams, indicating good seed material quality.

Hybrid L 9 exhibits high resistance to various diseases and pests, including 7 races of sunflower downy mildew (A-G), as well as tolerance to new races of false powdery mildew. It also shows high tolerance to Phoma black stem, Phoma leaf spot, and sclerotinia root rot, significantly reducing the risk of yield losses. Drought resistance and hardiness make this sunflower particularly suitable for cultivation in arid conditions of Ukraine, including the Forest-steppe and Steppe zones.

The hybrid demonstrates high initial growth energy and plasticity to various growing conditions, allowing for effective use in different agro-climatic zones. The recommended sowing rate varies depending on soil moisture: 45-50 thousand seeds per hectare under insufficient moisture, and up to 55 thousand under sufficient moisture. The yield potential reaches 45 centners per hectare, confirming the high productivity and economic attractiveness of this hybrid.
