COMET is a medium early sunflower hybrid with high yield potential and adapted for growing in various climatic conditions of the Central Black Earth, North Caucasus, and Middle Volga regions. It features a powerful root system and strong stem that provide resistance to lodging and allow the plant to successfully resist drought and stress factors. The average weight of 1000 seeds is about 58.8 grams, which indicates good seed quality.

The COMET hybrid has high resistance to various diseases, including gray and white mold, downy mildew, rust A-E, as well as powdery mildew (race 330) and phomopsis. Such comprehensive protection promotes stable crop formation and reduces the risks of losses under unfavorable weather conditions. The oil content of seeds reaches 49%, which provides a high yield of oil — up to 1.7 tons per hectare.

The potential yield of the hybrid in the Central Black Earth region is on average 29.1 centners per hectare, with maximum values reaching up to 53.6 centners.
