Sunflower OXI

The Oxi sunflower hybrid is a high-yielding mid-season variety developed by specialists at VNIIIMK. It is distinguished by its high content of oleic acid in the oil, reaching 90%, which makes it particularly valuable for producing quality sunflower oil. The oil content of the seeds is approximately 49%, and the potential yield can reach 35 c/ha, confirmed by average yield figures in the Central Black Earth region at the level of 24.8 c/ha and maximum values up to 39.9 c/ha. The fat content in the seeds is about 49.6%, and the average oil harvest reaches 13.5 c/ha, ensuring high efficiency of using this hybrid in agricultural production.

The plant is characterized by high resistance to major diseases, including sunflower rust (races A-E), downy mildew, stem rot, and stalk rot. Thanks to these qualities, the hybrid demonstrates stability and reliability under various growing conditions. The crop belongs to the stay green type, which requires the application of desiccation for optimal harvest collection. It is recommended to cultivate the hybrid at a distance from simple oilseed varieties, which helps preserve its unique properties and increase yield.
