Description Iollin
IOLLIN is a mid-maturing sunflower hybrid (Helianthus annuus L.), characterized by high oil content and a high fat content in seeds reaching 51.1%. The plant is characterized by high or very high growth, absence of branching, and medium-sized heads with a downward orientation upon maturation. Leaves are of medium size, green with blistering from weak to medium and a serrated edge. The seed is oval-oblong, black in color without spotting, with weakly expressed marginal stripes. Average seed yield in the region is about 29 c/ha. The hybrid has high resistance to lodging and various diseases, including tolerance to phomopsis and downy mildew. It is characterized by high resistance to shattering and whirling, which contributes to yield preservation. IOLLIN belongs to the linoleic type of oiliness and is suitable for cultivation in zones with sufficient and insufficient moisture. To achieve maximum productivity, balanced nutrition using NPK fertilizers is recommended. A feature of the hybrid is the high concentration of oleic acid in the oil — from 88 to 92%, which makes it attractive for the production of high-quality oil. Yield potential reaches 4.8 t/ha. Recommended growing zones include the Central and Northern Forest Steppe, as well as the Polesye. For successful sowing, it is important to avoid unheated soil, which ensures optimal conditions for germination and plant development.
