Sunflower POSEIDON 625

Sunflower POSEIDON 625 is an early-maturing large-fruited variety with a vegetation period of 90-92 days, distinguished by high productivity and versatility. The plants are medium-sized, 150-165 cm tall, with a 1000-seed weight of up to 150 grams. The variety is characterized by high oil content at 48-49% and a yield of 25 to 38 centners per hectare, making it attractive for both confectionery and oil production purposes. Kernel content does not exceed 26%, which contributes to obtaining quality raw materials.

POSEIDON 625 exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including downy mildew, sunflower moth, phoma, powdery mildew, and rust. Moreover, the variety is resistant to lodging, shattering, and drought, ensuring yield stability even under complex climatic conditions. Thanks to its unpretentiousness and adaptability, it is suitable for cultivation in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones, expanding its usage possibilities.

To achieve maximum yield, it is recommended to observe agronomic standards: proper selection of place in crop rotation, use of suitable predecessors, effective control of weeds, fertilizer application, quality soil treatment, as well as adherence to sowing terms, depth, and density. Plant care, including irrigation and timely harvest, contributes to increasing yield by 20% and increasing profit by more than 30%. Thus, POSEIDON 625 is a reliable and highly efficient sunflower variety for modern agricultural enterprises.
