Sunflower VA 306 Mail

Technological potential of the VA 306 MAIL hybrid

Hungarian breeding by Woodstock continues to focus on compact sunflower forms, and the VA 306 MAIL hybrid is a prime example. This seed material stands out against large-head hybrids due to its morphology, which is focused on stability in stressed farming conditions.

Morphological features and field performance

The key difference of the model lies in its head anatomy. It features a flattened shape and a reduced size. From an agronomic perspective, this solution aims to reduce stress on the stem and minimize the risk of lodging during strong winds. The black seeds, which have a narrow egg-like shape, demonstrate a high filling rate despite the medium fraction size.

• Advantages: The compact structure allows for high-density planting, which is crucial for achieving an even stand in soils with limited moisture supply.
• Specifics: The medium seed size and specific shape require careful adjustment of the planter's calibration discs to achieve precise seeding rates.

Who is VA 306 MAIL for?

This hybrid from Woodstock is an optimal choice for farms practicing intensive technologies on poor or drought-prone soils. The small head size serves as a protective mechanism: the plant requires less energy to form generative organs, which frees up resources for seed filling. If your strategy focuses on crop stability with controlled costs, VA 306 MAIL will meet your expectations as a reliable agricultural tool.
