Sunflower FR 84281 is a hybrid developed for cultivation under various climatic conditions in Ukraine. It is characterized by high yield and good adaptability to both warm and cold regions. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to diseases and stress factors, including wind gusts, ensuring stable yield formation even under adverse weather conditions. Thanks to the work of leading breeding companies such as Syngenta, Euralis, Limagrain, and Maïsadour Semences, sunflower hybrids have diverse maturity periods, allowing selection of the optimal variant for a specific region and cultivation technology.
FR 84281 is characterized by high initial growth energy and rapid maturation in the second half of the vegetative period. The vegetative period of the hybrid is approximately 90-95 days, with the period from emergence to flowering being 60-65 days. Plants reach a height of 175-185 cm, and the head has a convex shape. The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to heat and drought, which is especially important for Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones. The recommended seeding density varies depending on the region: in the Steppe — 55-65 thousand plants per hectare, in Forest-Steppe and Polissia — 65-85 thousand.
Hybrid FR 84281 has high yield potential, reaching up to 45 centners per hectare, with maximum yields in steppe zones up to 28 centners. Oil content in seeds ranges from 48% to 52%, making this sunflower attractive for producing high-quality oil. Due to its resistance to major diseases such as powdery mildew, white and gray rot, as well as to downy mildew and phomopsis, the hybrid ensures reliable and stable yield under conventional cultivation technology.
