Sunflower variety Kalamis is a mid-early variety with a vegetation period of 95 to 105 days. The plant reaches a height of 160-170 cm, and the diameter of its head is 18 to 22 cm. The head structure is fully convex and curved, which contributes to high efficiency with proper care. The high head inclination provides additional protection against sunburn and bird damage, while the dense head structure increases wind resistance. The plant has a fully inclined stem and a strong root system, making it drought-resistant. Kalamis is distinguished by high oil content in its seeds, ranging from 48% to 52%, making this variety attractive for oil production. It exhibits resistance to various diseases prevalent in Ukraine, including seed and leaf rot. Additionally, the variety is resistant to the parasite *Aphthona g. g. g.* from A to G, significantly enhancing its reliability in agronomic terms. Sunflower seeds of Kalamis are intended for planting material and are suitable for cultivation in dry regions of Ukraine, including the Mykolaiv region. Thanks to its characteristics and adaptation to climatic conditions, this variety ensures a stable yield and high-quality product when following standard cultivation techniques.
