FR 84271 — a mid-season sunflower hybrid with high genetic yield potential, especially effective in drought-prone conditions. It is characterized by high drought resistance, confirmed by a rating of 9 out of 9, and an optimal 1000-seed weight ranging from 52–60 grams. The hybrid features a low ear inclination, facilitating harvest and reducing yield losses. The recommended plant density at harvest is 55,000 to 65,000 plants per hectare, depending on soil moisture.

One of the key features of FR 84271 is its high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including race A–G of downy mildew, phomopsis, phomopsis, alternaria, black mold, and ear sclerotinia. Thanks to its strong immunity, the hybrid consistently delivers high yields even on problematic and drought-prone fields. Additionally, the hybrid is resistant to lodging and has high drought tolerance, ensuring yield preservation until harvest.

FR 84271 is suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions. It responds well to the application of complex fertilizers and growth stimulators, promoting maximum yield potential, which can reach 50 centners per hectare under favorable conditions. The high oil content in seeds (up to 9%) makes this hybrid attractive for oilseed production.
