FR 85501, also known as Pharaoh AM sunflower, is the latest Ukrainian hybrid developed with modern agronomic technologies. It exhibits resistance to herbicides based on tribenuron-methyl, allowing effective application of Granstar in various plant protection schemes using the SUMO technology. This hybrid is intended for cultivation in the Forest Steppe and Steppe regions of Ukraine, demonstrating high adaptability to the climatic conditions of these areas.
One of the key features of Pharaoh AM is its high productivity, which exceeded the average yield of other sunflower varieties by 20% in 2020. The hybrid exhibits very high drought tolerance, making it especially valuable in regions with limited water availability. Additionally, it has high resistance to lodging and shattering, which helps preserve yield and facilitates harvesting.
FR 85501 also exhibits resistance to several diseases, including powdery mildew (race 730), phomopsis, rust, gray and white mold. It is tolerant to various races of the parasitic plant dodder (A-G+), significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. All these qualities make Pharaoh AM sunflower a reliable choice for farmers seeking a stable and high yield under challenging climatic conditions.
