Hybrid sunflower ES PROXIMA, developed by French breeders of the company Euralis, is intended for oilseed production and is characterized by high yield, reaching 44.5-45 t/ha. Plants are of medium height — 163-168 cm, with a flower head diameter of 20-23 cm, which is downwardly inclined and fully formed. The hybrid is mid-early maturing, with a vegetation period of 104-108 days, ensuring stable maturity under various climatic conditions.
ES PROXIMA has a high oil content in seeds — 49-50%, making it particularly attractive for oil production. Seeds are characterized by high germination rate and vigor, which contributes to successful plant development even under extensive cultivation techniques. The recommended planting density is 60-65 thousand plants per hectare, which optimizes yield and product quality.
The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to a wide range of diseases and pests, including alternaria, verticillium, fomopsis, head and stem sclerotinia, rust, false powdery mildew, gray mold, and sooty mold. In addition, ES PROXIMA is tolerant to seven main races of rust (A–G) and some new strains, and also exhibits enhanced drought resistance and absence of lodging susceptibility. Thanks to these qualities, the hybrid is recommended for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe regions, including dry areas, ensuring stable yield performance under various conditions.
