ES ANGELIC SL is an early-maturing high-oleic sunflower hybrid intended for cultivation in regions with climatic conditions of the Lower Volga region, in particular Volgograd Oblast. Plants of this hybrid are characterized by medium height at maturity, lack of branching, and green leaf coloration with very weak blistering. The vegetative period is about 107 days, and flowering time is average. Seeds have a mass of 54.1 grams per thousand, weak marginal and internal stripes, and oil content in seeds reaches 45.6%, with high oleic acid content — 87%. The hybrid is distinguished by high yield, the average indicator in the region being 21.9 centners per hectare, and the maximum — 49 centners per hectare, which confirms its potential for intensive cultivation. ES ANGELIC SL possesses moderate resistance to downy mildew and weak susceptibility to white rot, as well as demonstrating weak rust infection and average resistance to rhizoctonia. These characteristics make it a reliable choice for farmers seeking a stable and quality harvest. The hybrid belongs to the Clearfield type, which ensures high resistance to lodging and seed cracking, as well as good winter hardiness. Plant height reaches approximately 155 centimeters, while branching is absent or very weak. Oiliness of seeds is within 45-48%, which contributes to high oil yield. ES ANGELIC SL is suitable for intensive cultivation with the use of modern agronomic technologies, ensuring high initial development energy and resistance to main sunflower diseases.
