Sunflower Daglas

Stable yields with minimal risks

Choosing a sunflower hybrid is always a search for a balance between yield potential and stress resistance. "Douglas" by "Kmk Agro" addresses the most pressing concerns for farmers operating in areas with high infection pressure.

The main strength of this hybrid is its comprehensive pathogen defense. Unlike many mid-season hybrids, "Douglas" shows marked resistance to white rot, charcoal rot, and phomopsis. This makes it an optimal solution for fields with crop rotation issues or areas where soil-borne infections have historically been a problem.

Efficiency and oil content

For farmers practicing the "Clearfield" (Euro-Lightning) technology, compatibility with herbicide treatment is critical. "Douglas" is fully adapted to the "Euro-Lightning" system. This allows for effective control of the entire spectrum of weeds, including problematic broomrape species, without suppressing the plant itself. With an oil content of 50-55%, the hybrid occupies a premium segment in terms of raw material quality.

Key agronomic features:

• The vegetation period (100-110 days) allows for successful cultivation in most regions, avoiding early frosts.
• Plant height within 180-190 cm ensures convenience during mechanized harvesting.
• The hybrid's stability mitigates yield loss risks in drought years due to its high adaptive capacity.

Who is this hybrid for? "Douglas" is an ideal choice for farms where predictability is the top priority. If your strategy involves using "Euro-Lightning" and obtaining seeds with a high oil yield, this hybrid will justify your investment from the very first season.
