IGOR

Sunflower IGOR is a medium-early hybrid with plant height ranging from 150 to 170 cm, possessing a high genetic yield potential for seeds up to 45 c/ha. Seeds contain between 45% to 48% oil, making this variety attractive for sunflower oil production. IGOR is distinguished by its good adaptation to stress conditions, ensuring a stable yield even under unfavorable climatic factors.

Hybrid IGOR exhibits high resistance to a range of diseases and pests. It is genetically resistant to rust (Puccinia helianthi), sunflower moth, as well as to five races of witchweed (Orobanche cumana) — A, B, C, D, E. Additionally, the variety is highly tolerant to diseases such as Phomopsis, Phoma, and Macrophomina, which contributes to maintaining plant health and reducing crop losses. The optimal plant density for sowing is 55,000 plants per hectare.

IGOR is characterized by a powerful root system, which ensures good drought resistance and promotes rapid initial growth. These qualities allow the hybrid to be successfully cultivated in various climatic zones, including northern and southern steppe belts. The hybrid tolerates herbicide load well and is suitable for intensive farming, which helps maintain the phytosanitary state of the field and ensures a stable and high yield on different soil types.
