Sugar beet variety SMART GLADIATA KWS is distinguished by high resistance to diseases such as rhizomania and cercospora, ensuring stable yields and product quality. This variety is characterized by high productivity, reaching 611.8 to 733.6 centners per hectare, as well as high sugar content — from 17.7 to 17.8%, enabling the harvest of 112.0 to 129.2 centners of sugar per hectare. The recommended plant density is 95 to 110 thousand per hectare, and a late harvest contributes to maximum sugar accumulation in the roots.
SMART GLADIATA KWS is cultivated using the innovative CONVIZO® SMART technology, which represents a comprehensive weed control system. This technology is based on herbicide-resistant sugar beet hybrids developed by KWS and a specially selected herbicide from Bayer. This combination ensures effective weed control with high selectivity for the crop, making it a reliable tool for modern and progressive farms.
Application of the CONVIZO® SMART technology in Lviv and Ternopil regions has demonstrated high efficiency in weed control and cercospora management, surpassing conventional protection methods. This allows not only to increase sugar beet yield and quality but also to reduce protection costs, ensuring sustainable and economically viable production.
