CELSO ST

The CELSO ST hybrid sunflower was developed for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe regions, making it a universal solution for various soil-climate zones in Ukraine. It belongs to the mid-early maturity group with a vegetative period of about 110 days and is characterized by high plasticity, allowing successful adaptation to changing growing conditions. CELSO ST exhibits high drought and stress tolerance, ensuring stable yields even under adverse weather conditions. The hybrid has a high yield potential, reaching up to 4.5 tons per hectare, and high oil content in seeds — from 48 to 51%. Seeds are black in color and have high test weight (390–440 g/L). Plants reach a height of 150–175 cm, and the flower head diameter varies from 18 to 23 cm with a downward orientation. CELSO ST has high resistance to downy mildew races A-F, as well as resistance to diseases such as Phomopsis, white mold, gray mold, rust, false powdery mildew, and Phomopsis, significantly reducing the risk of yield losses. The hybrid is intended for ExpressSun® technology (under Granstar) and demonstrates high tolerance to tribenuron-methyl. Recommended planting density depends on soil moisture and varies from 45,000 to 60,000 plants per hectare. CELSO ST exhibits high resistance to lodging and is suitable for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe zones. Thanks to its characteristics, this hybrid ensures high-quality and stable yields, making it a profitable choice for farmers.
