Sugar beet MITIKA is a single-stem diploid hybrid developed by Lion Seeds on the basis of normal-type sterile breeding. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in the Central-Black Soil and Middle-Volga regions, and is successfully grown in various climatic conditions, which is confirmed by stable yield and sugar content indicators in different regions. MITIKA forms a conical root crop with deep soil immersion (80-90%), which contributes to its stability and product quality.
The hybrid is characterized by high yield, which averages from 600 to 756 c/ha depending on the region, and sugar content varies from 16.1% to 19%. In the Central-Black Soil region, the average yield reaches 540 c/ha with a sugar content of 17.4%, while in the Middle-Volga region, the yield can reach 756 c/ha with a sugar content of 16.1%. Sugar extraction in this case ranges from 92.7 to 122.3 c/ha, making MITIKA a profitable choice for sugar production.
Special attention is given to the hybrid's resistance to diseases and adverse conditions. MITIKA exhibits high resistance to rhizomania, ramularia, and root rots, medium resistance to powdery mildew, and low resistance to cercospora. Additionally, the hybrid is resistant to drought and the rootworm pest, ensuring crop stability even in complex agro-climatic conditions. Due to these characteristics, MITIKA is a reliable and effective hybrid for sugar beet agricultural production.
