Sunflower Krasen'

Technical Profile of the "Krasen" Variety

Developed by the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS, "Krasen" is a classic sunflower variety focused on stability and predictable results within the Ukrainian farming environment. Unlike modern high-intensity hybrids, "Krasen" offers agronomists genetic reliability backed by years of field performance.

Morphological Features and Development

The stem reaches a height of 200 cm, providing substantial vegetative biomass. The large head of the plant is the central driver of productivity: its size directly influences seed filling and overall yield potential. This specific architecture requires precise plant population management to prevent competition for light and moisture during critical growth stages.

Practical Application

This variety is ideal for farms focusing on extensive or semi-intensive cultivation. The primary advantage of this open-pollinated variety is the ability to reproduce seeds independently without losing essential agricultural traits in the first generation. This is a critical factor for farmers aiming to lower production costs by reducing the need for annual investment in expensive hybrid seed stock.

• Genetic Purity: Originated through professional breeding to ensure uniform crop development.
• Adaptability: The variety demonstrates high tolerance to regional climatic stressors.
• Resource Efficiency: Efficient nutrient uptake from the soil under standard fertilization protocols.

"Krasen" represents a choice in favor of proven breeding standards, where every aspect of the plant contributes to a reliable yield with consistent quality metrics.
