Sugar beet of the "Leader" variety is a high-yielding crop successfully grown in Ukraine, particularly in the Chernivtsi region. As of 2023, this region leads in sugar beet yield, reaching 620 centners per hectare, which demonstrates the variety's high productivity and adaptability to local conditions.
Sugar beet "Leader" is characterized by high sugar content, which in modern varieties ranges from 18 to 20%. For successful cultivation, seeds can germinate at temperatures as low as +5°C, although optimal conditions are air temperatures between 13-15°C. A crucial factor influencing yield and sugar content in roots is adequate light exposure, as insufficient light negatively affects plant development.
This sugar beet variety is suitable for cultivation in temperate climates and ensures a stable high yield when agronomic requirements are met. Due to its characteristics, "Leader" is a promising choice for agricultural producers focused on obtaining high-quality raw material for the sugar industry.
