Sugar beet DR 11 X DR 34 Sugar Beet

Consistent performance in any conditions

When working with sugar beet from the German breeder Strube, predictability is what you expect. The DR 11 X DR 34 hybrid belongs to the normal (N) type, which, for an agronomist, means confidence in baseline metrics during average harvest windows. In the field, it proves to be a real workhorse that does not demand specific conditions yet consistently delivers a high sugar yield.

Vegetation characteristics

The leaf apparatus of this hybrid is shaped to ensure the beet closes rows quickly, covering the soil and suppressing weed growth in the early stages. This significantly reduces herbicide application costs. The root has a uniform shape, which is critical for mechanical harvesting: fewer losses during topping and minimal damage during extraction from the soil.

Cultivation experience

• Excellent adaptability to various soil and climate conditions.
• High uniformity of root crops, which simplifies the calibration of sugar beet harvesters.
• Minimal amount of "tails" and fine rootlets, resulting in a cleaner hopper fill with a negligible percentage of impurities.

To achieve maximum yield, we recommend following standard intensive protection protocols. The DR 11 X DR 34 is forgiving of minor delays in fertilizer application, though it remains sensitive to timely pest control. Overall, it is a reliable choice for farms prioritizing stable profitability over experimenting with extreme hybrid types.
