OSMONY

The "Osmony" soybean variety is an early-maturing, high-yielding variety created through individual selection from the F4 hybrid population Belor х L-02. Plants of this variety are indeterminate type, medium height, reaching about 78 cm, with white flowers and no anthocyanin pigmentation of the hypocotyl. The vegetative period is approximately 110 days, which allows the use of the variety in regions with a short warm season, such as the Tambov region and the Central Black Soil Region. The mass of 1000 seeds is 128 grams; the seeds are yellow with a yellow hilum, which is a characteristic feature of the variety.

The protein content in the seeds of the "Osmony" variety varies from 31.7% to 40.9%, and the fat content is about 22.9%, which makes this variety particularly valuable for producing soy isolate and other high-protein products. The yield of the variety is quite high: the average yield in the region is about 20 c/ha, while the maximum reached 35.5 c/ha, confirming its potential for commercial cultivation. The attachment height of the lower pod is about 12.7 cm, which facilitates harvest.

The "Osmony" variety is distinguished by its resistance to diseases and pests, which reduces the need for the application of chemical protective means and increases the ecological safety of cultivation. The plants have gray pubescence on the main stem and lanceolate side leaflets of a compound leaf. Due to its agronomic characteristics and high productivity indicators, the variety is recommended for cultivation in the Central Black Soil Region, particularly in the Tambov region, where it has already shown good results.
