Sunflower TITOS ST

TITOS ST — this is a mid-early to mid-ripening hybrid sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) included in the State Register in several regions of Russia, including the Lower Volga, Central Chernozem, and Ural regions. The plant is characterized by medium height and a vegetation period of about 121 days. The 1000-seed mass is approximately 58.8 grams, and the oil content in the seeds reaches 46.9%, ensuring high oil productivity of the crop.

The hybrid demonstrates good yield, which varies by region: in the Lower Volga region, the average yield is 21.4 c/ha with a maximum of 33.7 c/ha, while in the Central Chernozem region, the average yield reaches 34.4 c/ha. TITOS ST exhibits medium resistance to rust and downy mildew, as well as resistance to false powdery mildew, and is moderately susceptible to white mold, making it suitable for cultivation under various climatic conditions.

The sunflower TITOS ST is in demand on the market due to stable demand for seeds both from processors and internationally. Cultivation of this hybrid requires consideration of crop rotation specifics, as long-term cultivation of sunflower in the same area may lead to reduced yields due to accumulation of infectious load. Under changing climate conditions and frequent droughts, TITOS ST is recommended to be included in crop rotations with crops not affected by the same diseases as sunflower, to maintain soil health and maximum productivity.
