Soybean Christmas

Working with the 'Rizdvyana' Soybean

When selecting a variety for intensive field operations, the primary goal is predictability. With a growing season of 90-100 days, 'Rizdvyana' integrates seamlessly into crop rotation cycles, allowing for harvest completion well before the onset of autumn precipitation. For the machine operator, this variety is a standout choice: the lower pods are attached at a height of 14-16 cm, which allows for a clean, low cut with minimal harvest losses.

Machinery Efficiency and Handling

The plant architecture, reaching 70-80 cm in height, ensures excellent resistance to lodging. This stability makes the harvest process straightforward, as combine headers do not get clogged, keeping downtime to a minimum. Whether dealing with uneven terrain or shifting weather patterns, the variety proves to be highly reliable and requires no specialized handling during the collection process.

Economic Impact and Field Protection

• Reduced Maintenance: Built-in resistance to Downy Mildew (Peronospora), Septoria, and Fusarium significantly reduces the need for fungicide applications. For the farm manager, this translates into fewer tractor passes, lower fuel consumption, and extended machinery service intervals.
• Marketable Yield: With a protein content of 39-41% and an oil content of 21-22%, this variety meets the quality requirements of premium processors.

Developed by the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute, 'Rizdvyana' is designed to be a "workhorse" variety. It minimizes the need for intensive chemical intervention, maintains excellent structural integrity throughout the season, and delivers consistent, profitable yields on the scale.
