Soybean variety Odessa 150A is a grain variety recommended for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones of Ukraine. The vegetation period is 115-120 days, which allows effective use of the variety in middle belt conditions. Plants have a semi-erect growth type with a height of 100-120 cm, providing good resistance to lodging and shattering. Oil content of the seeds is at the level of 21-22%, which characterizes the variety as medium-oil.
One of the key features of Odessa 150 variety is its high resistance to major diseases, which significantly reduces the risk of crop losses and reduces the need for intensive plant protection. As a result, the variety demonstrates high yield, reaching up to 3.58 tons per hectare under optimal cultivation conditions. These indicators make it an attractive choice for farmers aiming to obtain a stable and high-quality soybean harvest.
Soybean Odessa 150 was registered in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine in 2001 and is produced by the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine. Due to its characteristics, the variety is widely used in agricultural practice, and discussions among farmers and agronomists confirm its effectiveness under various agroclimatic conditions.
