Millennium

Millennium soybean variety is a high-yielding and early-maturing variety developed in Ukraine at the Institute of Feed and Agriculture of Podillya NAAN. It is adapted to various soil-climatic conditions and is recommended for cultivation in the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions. The vegetation period ranges from 105 to 115 days, allowing for a stable harvest within a short timeframe. Plants have a determinate growth habit with a height ranging from 65 to 95 cm, depending on growing conditions.

The Millennium variety is distinguished by its high protein content in seeds — from 40 to 43%, as well as a significant oil level (approximately 22-24%). The 1000-seed mass varies between 180-200 g, indicating seed size and quality. Seeds have an elongated shape with a yellow hull and light-brown hilum, occasionally exhibiting brown, purple, or white coloration.

In addition to its high yield, reaching 16.3–21.8 c/ha (or up to 4.5 t/ha), the variety exhibits good resistance to major diseases and stress factors, as well as resistance to pod shatter. This makes Millennium a reliable choice for producing high-energy grain feed (approximately 96%). The recommended seeding rate is 550–650 thousand seeds per hectare, ensuring optimal plant development and maximum productivity.
