Nunavik

Nunavik soybean variety is an early non-GMO type with compact, low-growing plants, ensuring a stable high yield. The vegetative period is 90-100 days, and plant height ranges from 65 to 75 cm. Plants exhibit rapid early growth and a semi-determinate growth habit with moderate branching ability. Due to its early maturity, the variety is ideal as a predecessor for winter crops.

One of the key features of the Nunavik variety is its high protein content — from 42 to 44%, as well as oil content within 19-21%. Seeds are large, with a 1000-seed weight of about 200 g, and have a light hilum, making them popular in the food industry. The variety is characterized by high seed quality and resistance to shattering, which helps preserve yield and improve product quality.

Nunavik exhibits high resistance to various diseases and adverse conditions: resistance to lodging is rated at 9 points, drought resistance at 8, and high genetic resistance to downy mildew, septoria, ascochytosis, fusarium, and bacterial blight (8-9 points). Additionally, the variety shows good tolerance to sclerotinia and resistance to pod cracking. All these characteristics make Nunavik a reliable and productive choice for cultivation under various climatic conditions.
