Lyumariya is a northern ecotype soybean variety, intended for cultivation in the Volga-Vyatsk and Central Volga regions. This variety is distinguished by a combination of early maturity and high productivity, making it attractive for agricultural production in northern latitudes. Lyumariya plants have an indeterminate growth type of medium height, with purple flowers and yellow seeds with a dark-brown hilum. The stem is strong, the plant is sparingly branched, which contributes to resistance to lodging, and the pods do not shatter and seeds do not shed, which facilitates harvest collection.
The variety seeds are large; the mass of 1000 seeds ranges from 192 to 240 grams. The protein content in seeds varies within 30–31%, while fat content is about 22.7–23.4%, making Lyumariya a valuable grain variety for feed purposes. The yield of the variety can reach from 5.6 to 21.5 centners per hectare, indicating its high productivity under proper growing conditions.
Lyumariya is recommended for cultivation in regions with a more northern climate, where other soybean varieties may not exhibit their best qualities. Thanks to its agronomic characteristics and high-quality seed composition, this variety is suitable for use in feed production and ensures a stable yield when agrotechnical requirements are met.
