Soybean Euridika

Reliable crop choice: Why «Evridika» remains a market staple

For Ukrainian farmers aiming for predictable yields amidst a changing climate, the «Evridika» soybean variety has become a benchmark of stability. Developed by the Breeding and Genetics Institute (National Center for Seed Science and Cultivar Research), this variety is known for its remarkable plasticity, making it highly effective across various agro-climatic zones of the country.

Agronomic profile and potential

«Evridika» is a mid-season variety with a growing period of 120–130 days, allowing the plant to maximize water usage and solar radiation. With a height of 90–100 cm, it features an architecture well-suited for efficient mechanical harvesting. The primary strength of this variety lies in its seed quality:

• Protein content: 39–41%
• Oil content: 20–21%

This biochemical composition makes the harvest highly sought after by processing plants and export markets focusing on high-protein feed components.

Why choose «Evridika»?

The main advantage of «Evridika» compared to its competitors is its ability to perform well without the intensive chemical and nutrient requirements often associated with high-priced imported hybrids. It offers a perfect middle ground: it is resilient enough to cope with stressful conditions while maintaining consistent yields. One point to consider for growers is the timing of the harvest; like many similar varieties, timely collection is vital to prevent pod shattering if left in the field too long.

This variety is an optimal choice for producers who prioritize proven domestic genetics that ensure reliable production cycles without the unpredictability of highly demanding hybrid programs.
