Sorghum RS 814 A / RC 814 A

French Breeding Excellence for Efficient Farming

The grain sorghum hybrid RS 814 A from the French breeding house Euralis Semences is the result of years of work by Patrice Jeanson’s team, focused on developing high-yield grain crops. This hybrid has secured a strong position in the market for medium-stature grain sorghum, designed to deliver consistent yields even under fluctuating climatic conditions.

Agronomic Profile

A key feature of RS 814 A is its compact growth habit. The plant height ranges from 70 to 90 cm, which significantly simplifies the mechanized harvesting process and minimizes the risks of lodging. The grain has a characteristic red color, which serves as an indicator of high nutrient content, valued in both forage livestock production and the processing industry.

• Selection Control: The full development cycle from Euralis Semences laboratories ensures high genetic purity of the seed material.
• Condition Resilience: Adaptability to various soil and climatic zones allows RS 814 A to be used in intensive farming systems.
• Harvest Efficiency: The optimal plant architecture makes the hybrid convenient for combining without compromising crop quality.

The reputation of Euralis Semences, as one of the leaders in the European sorghum market, is backed by rigorous quality standards applied to the RS 814 A line. Farmers choose this hybrid for its predictable performance and ease of management, making it a strategically important element of crop rotation for operations prioritizing modern cereal technologies.
