Description KINELETSKOE 67
Kineletskoe 67 sorghum is a mid-season variety created by the method of multiple individual and group selections. The plants are low-growing, with a height of 130 to 190 cm depending on growing conditions, with erect stems and lanceolate leaves 50–70 cm long. The panicle is loose, slightly drooping, 40–55 cm long, cylindrical in shape, with a brown-red color; the grain is elongated oval, yellow or dark brown, membranous, weakly starchy, and vitreous. The vegetation period is from 85 to 110 days, which allows the variety to be classified as mid-early.

Kineletskoe 67 is characterized by high drought resistance and resistance to lodging, ensuring crop reliability even in complex climatic conditions. The stems are strong, with 10-11 aerial nodes, and the leaves are light green with white veins. The variety shows medium resistance to bacterial leaf spot and powdery head smut, as well as slight aphid damage. Thanks to these characteristics, the plant is well adapted to mechanized harvesting and is distinguished by accelerated initial growth.

The variety is intended for making brooms and brushes, which makes it economically advantageous for agricultural production. Average panicle yield reaches 43–87.2 c/ha, grain yield is about 40.7 c/ha, and broom output per hectare ranges from 2,500 to 5,500 pieces depending on growing conditions (dry or irrigated). High yield and product quality make Kineletskoe 67 a sought-after broom sorghum variety.
