EU Alize Sorghum is one of the leaders in yield and sales in Europe, confirming its high efficiency and popularity among farmers. This mid-early simple grain-type hybrid is characterized by an orange grain color and high plasticity, allowing it to successfully adapt to various climatic conditions. High starch content in the grain, reaching 74%, makes this variety particularly valuable for feed production and other agricultural purposes.
One of the key features of the EU Alize variety is its high resistance to lodging and shattering, which significantly facilitates the harvest process and reduces losses. The plant is distinguished by its low height—about 120 cm, which also contributes to the convenience of mechanized harvesting. In addition, the variety demonstrates excellent drought resistance and rapid moisture recovery, allowing it to maintain productivity even under insufficient moisture conditions.
EU Alize has high tolerance to Fusarium, evidenced by a high level of resistance (991), and is also resistant to sowing density. The recommended seeding rate varies depending on the level of soil moisture: under insufficient moisture—from 160 to 350 thousand seeds per hectare, with irrigation—from 240 to 350 thousand. All these characteristics make the EU Alize variety a reliable and high-yielding choice for growing in various agro-climatic zones.
