ARKANSEL is a mid-early grain sorghum hybrid that is characterized by high stress tolerance during cultivation, in particular to drought, as well as to the application of herbicides containing tribenuron-methyl. Thanks to these qualities, it ensures effective weed control and stable high yields. The plant is characterized by low growth and high adaptability to various soil and climatic conditions, which makes it suitable for cultivation in various regions.
The hybrid has a powerful root system capable of using moisture from a depth of up to 2.5-3 meters, which significantly increases its drought resistance and promotes stable development even in unfavorable conditions. The vegetative period is 112-117 days, which corresponds to the mid-early maturity group. Plant height reaches 170-175 cm, and the mass of 1000 seeds varies from 30.4 to 62 grams depending on cultivation conditions and usage direction.
ARKANSEL is characterized by high yield: the potential reaches 55 c/ha, and in some regions, for example, in Krasnodar Krai, the maximum grain yield reached 60.4 c/ha. The plant ear is convex, semi-downward, with a diameter of 22-25 cm, with 100% fullness. The oil content in seeds is 49-51%, which makes this hybrid valuable for both grain and oilseed usage directions.
