Sorghum ARKANSEL

Agronomic Profile and Morphology

The French sorghum hybrid Arcansiel by Lidea is a versatile tool for agricultural enterprises focused on a balanced crop rotation structure. With a vegetation period of 110–120 days, this hybrid demonstrates stable adaptability to temperate climate conditions, ensuring predictable yields for both grain and fodder (hay) production.

Technical Development Specifications

Morphologically, Arcansiel is characterized by a balanced habit: plant height ranges from 180 to 200 cm. These parameters ensure an optimal ratio of vegetative mass to generative organs, which is critical for providing high nutritional value when harvested for hay and high yields during grain harvesting.

Phytosanitary Resilience

Lidea's engineering and breeding approach is focused on minimizing fungicide dependency. The hybrid's genetically embedded immunity includes high tolerance to key sorghum pathogens:

• Helminthosporium: breeding solutions reduce the intensity of leaf apparatus infection, maintaining the photosynthetic surface area until the end of the vegetation period.
• Fusarium root rot: the hybrid's robust root system resists a complex of soil-borne pathogens, which is critical for maintaining plant density even under stressful weather conditions.

Practical application of Arcansiel allows agronomists to optimize harvest timelines. Due to the uniformity of the crops and lodging resistance, this hybrid is well-suited for mechanized harvesting, minimizing threshing losses.
