Sorghum Apollo

Yield stability in water-stressed environments

«Apollon» sorghum is a proven selection from the Ukrainian Plant Breeding and Genetic Institute, designed for farmers who prioritize drought resistance and consistent output. It is a reliable choice for regions where water efficiency determines the final profit margin.

Operational advantages

• Flexible harvesting window: With a maturation period ranging from 90 to 110 days, this variety allows farm managers to stagger planting dates and optimize machinery use, ensuring efficient logistics during peak harvest times.
• Mechanical efficiency: Standing at 70–110 cm, «Apollon» is well-suited for direct combining. Its height prevents lodging and significantly reduces harvest losses, allowing for faster and cleaner operations.
• Risk management: The variety exhibits high tolerance to temperature fluctuations, making it a low-risk option for fields with unpredictable seasonal weather.

For farm application, «Apollon» is valued for its predictability. It serves as an excellent ingredient for high-quality forage or commercial grain production. Because it requires standard fertilization and no specialized equipment beyond common harvesting headers, it helps keep the cost per ton at a competitive level. It is an ideal variety for operations focused on steady, scalable sorghum production without excessive agronomic inputs.
